Science Officer for the Allen Institute for Brain
Research in Seattle, Washington. The Allen Institute is an
independent non-profit medical research organization that is best
know for its mapping of the mouse brain. Its current projects
include creating a map of the human brain which will show what
genes are active at any given location in the adult human brain. In
this interview we discuss these projects, their implications for
neuroscience research, and the unique career challenges of working
in the non-profit biotech industry.
