Brain Science Podcast #48 is an interview with Gary Lynch, PhD, co-author of Big Brain: The Origins and Future of Human Intelligence. While almost everyone agrees that the human brain is distinguished by its large size, there are interesting questions and controversies about how our large brains evolved. Are we smart because are brains are large or because our brains are different? In this interview you will learn why Dr. Lynch believes that the unique features of the human brain are a natural result of the size of our brain. He also challenges the traditional assumption that our brain size was a result of selections during evolution.
